EVM setup (Polygon and Avalanche)
Polygon and Avalanche share one EVM adapter, configured with an RPC endpoint and a chain ID.
Approve and allowance
The escrow contract needs an allowance to move the member's tokens. That's a standard ERC-20 approve call before the lock.
Gas token
Your account needs a small balance of the chain's native token to pay transaction fees. This sits alongside whatever asset you're transacting. Sandbox uses Polygon Amoy where it's configured, and there's no mainnet in sandbox.
As an issuer: Mode 1 delegation
On EVM, Mode 1 would mean the engine's operator account (an EOA or a smart contract) has an allowance to burn tokens from your issuing contract, with no call to you for each instruction. A couple of things are still missing:
- The EVM sandbox adapter is currently ephemeral, and the live escrow contract hasn't been deployed yet (
B9.2b.4). - The exact ERC-20 or contract mechanism for Mode 1 delegation on EVM still needs confirming by the Nuvanté engineering team. Please wait for that before you build anything.
Until the live EVM adapter ships and the delegation contract is specified, Mode 1 on Polygon and Avalanche is a design target and can't be executed yet. Talk to your Nuvanté integration team before you plan an EVM Mode 1 integration.
